This is maybe the worst picture of a female Wood Duck ever taken (it's not - I took some that were even worse). I had to shoot through a tall patch of cattails and did not have a clear line of sight. However, it is my first Wood Duck sighting, so I am uploading it for the archives and so it can be included in my species count at the end of the year.
